Msgr. Pius echoed the words of the late Pope Francis, “So, regarding this, what Pope Francis said is that your small act can bring much benefit to many, and the lives and sacrifices of volunteers are the hope for the organization.”

He encouraged the Church’s volunteers that they are a source of reliance and hope not only for the Church but also for many. He respected them and was proud of them. He urged them to continue striving in the name of the Lord Christ.

After the Mass, Chancellor of Pathein Diocese, Fr. Florence Aung Kyaw Oo, expressed his gratitude, recognition, and encouragement to the volunteers.

He mentioned four main points, which are recognition, gratitude, pride, and encouragement.

“Christ himself was a volunteer. He was the one who actively initiated it. Based on this, volunteer work and religious service come into being. This volunteer work comes from Christ.” Fr. Florence said.
