Each of the movements set up its exhibition to convey its message to all those who took part in the event of the day.

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and administering the sacrament of reconciliation was part of the Jubilee in the afternoon and followed by the Holy Mass, presided by His Excellency Bishop Francis Than Tun, Auxiliary Bishop of Yangon.

His Excellency Bishop Raymond Wai Lin Tun, also Auxiliary Bishop of Yangon, delivered the Homily.

In his Homily, Bishop Raymond Wai Lin Tun said that Ecclesial movements mean associations. Based on the Charism of the Holy Spirit, they become Movements. Members of the movements live the Gospel in the community with personal renewal and Evangelization.

With the encouragement of the Second Vatican Council, they move onwards. The movements support formation, community life, service and solidarity, renewal, and they play a very important role in the Church, said Bishop Raymond.

Bishop Raymond echoed the words of Pope Benedict XVI, “The movements are the actions of the Holy Spirit.”

Again, he echoed the words of Pope Francis and said that we are to avoid authority that is against transparency. We should try to be one with the Church. Guidance of the Church is also important, and movements are to be the associations of living witnesses, continued Bishop Raymond.

At the end of the Eucharistic Celebration, Bishop Francis Than Tun thanked God and all the participants of different associations.

Msgr. Andrea Ferrante, Chargé d’ Affaires from the Apostolic Nunciature in Myanmar, delivered a speech on the occasion.

First, Msgr. Andrea invited all to pray for Pope Leo XIV and His Ministry. He asked to remember Pope Francis, who began this Jubilee to revive the hope that comes from the love of God and who prayed so much for Myanmar and continues to do so from the house of the Lord.

The event was on the eve of Pentecost and Msgr. Andrea said that the gift of the Spirit gives life; the Holy Spirit brings us new life, love, peace, and freedom.

Msgr. Andrea highlighted that Ecclesial Movements are a gift of the Holy Spirit to the life of the Church, and the movements want to and must be the schools of true life, freedom, peace, love, and friendship.

Mrs. Winny of the Focolare Movement shared the spiritual points of the movement, such as I must be the first to love, to love our neighbors, and to love our enemies.

She continued that to love our neighbors begins at home, and whenever there are difficulties beyond our understanding, it means that we are to love our Lord who was hanged on the cross.

Members of other movements also presented their activities. Helping the poor, visiting the sick, praying in community, and caring for displaced people due to various causes, especially because of the devastating earthquake, seemed to be the common activities.
