The 8th Annual Karen American Catholic Community (KACC) Conference was held from July 4th to 6th under the theme "Rooted in Christ, Growing in Christ" (Colossians 2:6-7) in the United States.
"I have come to you today, that I might testify to you how much God loves you. Let us not be discouraged, but let us pray more in these difficult times. In these difficult times, if we are united and trust in God, the difficulties we are facing today... will be a blessing," said Bishop John Mung Ngawn La Sam of Myitkyina Diocese.
Three Catholic Bishops from northern Myanmar have issued a powerful joint pastoral letter urging their flocks towards faith, unity, and perseverance on July 7th, 2025.
"Today, we honor our elderly priests, brothers, and sisters who have devoted decades to God’s mission," Bishop Henry Eikhlein said. "Their sacrifices inspire us to continue the work of the Church in the 21st century."
"To be a priest is to be the helper of the poor," Fr. Mercian declared. "It is not enough to offer the Mass only. We are to strive to be useful persons for the Church and society."
