Pope Francis: “I am praying for the peace in Myanmar”
Pope Francis told the Myanmar representative of the synod that he was praying for the peace of Myanmar.
When he met with the Myanmar representative group for the synod on October 17, Pope Francis emphasized that he remembered Myanmar and that Myanmar was in his heart.
Pope Francis appealed to pray for peace in Myanmar on the coming Sunday, World Mission Sunday on October 20.
The president of the Federation of the Asian Bishops’ Conferences and the president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Myanmar, Charles Cardinal Bo, the representative of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Myanmar, Bishop John Saw Yaw Han, and Ms. Rosalia Cho Cho Tin are attending at the Synod.
