Rosary Campaign and Vocation Day Celebrated with Fervor in Myaungmya Parish

The combined Feast of the Holy Rosary and Vocation Day was solemnly celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Myaungmya on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, uniting religious, catechists, and hundreds of faithful in a morning dedicated to prayer and discernment.

The Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Msgr. Pius Win Than and concelebrated by five priests, gathered religious sisters from several congregations, catechist students, and numerous children. The event emphasized the power of prayer and the importance of heeding God’s call.

In his homily, Msgr. Pius Win Than reflected on the divine nature of vocation. “All of you, sons and daughters, are here because of God’s call,” he stated. “You may have come through your friends, parents, or acquaintances—but it is God who has called you.”

He explained that God not only calls but also empowers the faithful, providing grace and strength for His work. Highlighting the Annunciation, he presented the Virgin Mary’s “yes” as the ultimate model for all Christians to follow. “If God calls you, it will always be for your best. Follow His call, and your life will be filled with joy, happiness, and blessings,” Msgr. Pius assured the congregation.

Marking the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, he also underscored the devotion’s significance, calling the Rosary a “powerful weapon of the Church” and encouraging its daily recitation.

Fr. Bosco Bo Ko followed with a reflection directed particularly at the children present, emphasizing the strength of their prayers. “Your prayers are powerful—just like drops of water that become a river, your repeated prayers and acts of love can bring about great blessings,” he said.

He drew a parallel to a historical event, noting, “During a long war that began on October 7 centuries ago, the children of the Church prayed the Rosary, and peace was restored.” He urged the young attendees to pray to know God’s will for their futures.
